We were originally just looking for the best fish and chips in Halifax, but ended up ordering the chef’s oysters as well.

The fish and chips were great, but we tried a better place (which you’ll see later in this post).

If you’re looking for more traditional fish and chips in Halifax, this one has a few different seasonings, so it might be what you’re looking for.

We have fresh oysters all the time in Toronto, but obviously they are not as fresh as other places.

We’ve also tried fresh oysters in Ireland, but I have to say that Nova Scotia tops everything when it comes to fresh oysters.

We ordered Jalapeno Laskar Pelangi Roll (2 orders because we didn’t want to share lol), Seafood Emas Roll (with fried salmon in it), Spicy Salmon Roll, Tuna Carpaccio, and it was all so good.

Besides the great food, another reason locals love this place is because they give you a free sandwich with every order! what do you say

We had no idea until they surprised us with 8 sweet potato rolls, 4 pieces of cereal salmon nigiri and 2 pieces of salmon sashimi.

We wanted to try seafood from Nova Scotia, and this place got good reviews on Yelp.

Adam had a special dinner that night, a fish dish with broccoli puree, and he wasn’t crazy about it.

After wandering through several towns in Halifax, we ended up in Lanenburg, where we craved fish and chips.

We actually tried this place before we visited Shek (previously mentioned), and went to Shek because the south coast made us want fish and chips again!

Nova Scotia seems to be a hot spot for craft breweries, so of course we had to visit at least one.

The portions are big and the beer tastes great, so it’s worth a visit if you’re a craft beer fan.

We tried the Sapi because the flavor available seemed more appealing to us than our Black Bear ice cream offering.
