Branson Cedars Resort has a new event center 1/4 mile from our cabin. Thunder Ridge Event Center is said to be one of the most unique amphitheaters in North America. It will open for the first time in September 2022 with a PBR event. Garth Brooks is set to debut on October 1, 2022. Tickets will go on sale on August 26 from 10 am. It is also home to the Missouri Thunder professional bull team. Thunder Mountain plans to plan many more events soon. Table Rock Lake is famous for its crystal clear waters and 800+ miles of shoreline. It has plenty of crappie, catfish and bluegill and is very popular for bass. It’s no wonder that Table Rock is considered one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country. So who doesn’t want to cast their line in the water? Orvis Fly Fishing School is located in Dogwood Canyon, just 15 minutes from Tall Pines and about 22 minutes from Branson Cedars Cabins. 1. Go to the Twin Isles gas station or Walmart. You can buy fishing licenses and toilet there.

Take the long lane exit to the highway and turn right. Head down the hill to Old Camp 86. They charge $5/cart, so bring Grandma for a great discount! You can fish anywhere along the coast. It is a beautiful peninsula. Bring your swimsuit as they also have 2 swimming beaches.

To the cabin at Branson Cedars: Take Route 65 and turn left. Around the Stow-It storage units you will find a small road called Lakeshore Drive. Take it to the lake. Follow this path to the public ferry. it’s free! You can fish anywhere in the area. Actually, it’s only 5 minutes.

In my opinion, you can’t beat fresh trout on the grill. Visit Table Rock Dam (see “Things to Do”) and park at the Shepard Hills Fish Parking Area (flying fish!) just below the dam. Remember you need a fishing license and a trout stamp. (See below) Also, do not attempt to fish when the water is rising above the dam. This will be a waste of time, energy and your Trot Cell!
