Best Mountain Biking In Missouri – Sac River Mtn.Bike Trails are fun! Map reading is a recommended skill. All trails are marked with colored beacons, but it’s easy to get lost if you get into the park. We also recommend having a charged cell phone, map, and water when you walk the trail.

NO DESCRIPTION: This 300-acre Springfield-Greene County Municipal Park offers more than 14 miles of single-track trails that wind through the woods of northwest Springfield. Built by volunteers in 1996, it is popular with beginner and advanced mountain bikers, as well as runners and hikers. The perimeter road is about 2 kilometers long and a cell phone tower marks the northeast corner of the perimeter.

Local Bike Groups Seek To Improve Mountain Biking Access In Eastern Idaho

WEEKLY RAID GROUP: Seasonal. Every Friday evening at 18:15, Frisco Bike Rental and Service Center offers free 1-2 hour mountain bike groups of various distances for all ages and skill levels. The trailhead is three miles north of I-44, on Highway 13 (known locally as the Kansas Expressway), northwest of Springfield. Note the brown road sign marking the west turn onto the unmarked road leading to the West Water Treatment Plant. The route doesn’t have a physical address, but here’s a Google map to get there.

In the past few decades, many winter ski resorts have jumped on board, turning the mountainous region into a summer playground. Riders can find machine-made flows, vintage downlines, freeride with jumps and boards, as well as man-made features like wooden wall transitions, drop-offs, and ramps. And let me tell you, they are fun. Bike parks are also a great way to develop skills and confidence as well as fitness. Despite the climb, mountain biking is still a workout!

If you’re new to bike parks, you’ll be surprised to find dozens of them scattered across the United States. From the gold standard of Deer Valley in Utah to the small but mighty Highland Bike Park in New Hampshire, almost every mountain state has at least one bike park (sorry Oklahoma and Kansas…).

Alyeska is Alaska’s only bike park. Located about an hour outside of Anchorage, Alyeska has built flow trails with tables and jumps, as well as vintage DH trails, all accessible by chairlift.

There is one track for all abilities, from beginner to expert. And views? As expected for Alaska. Explore the land on your own or attend a class, private tour or women’s clinic.

Arkansas High Country Route (northwest Loop)

Sunrise is Arizona’s only bike park and has a laid-back, small-town feel. Located in the eastern part of the state in Greer, Arizona, Sunrise Park Resort is owned by the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Here you will find old school trails with a mix of beginner and intermediate terrain. Sunrise Bike Park has about 10 miles of trails and a fun experience if you find yourself on one!

Sunrise is usually only open on weekends, but is sometimes closed for events. Be sure to call to make sure they are actually open.

The Lederwood Gravity Project in Lederwood City Park near Eureka Springs is a network of downhill trails in Northwest Arkansas.

There are seven routes that start at one of the two centers and you access the center by bus every 10-15 minutes. The North Hub drops you off at DH4, DH5, DH6 and DH7, while the South Hub is the launch pad for DH1, DH2 and DH3. Each of these DH roads

Trails range from green to two-ply black, and while beginners can ride these trails, this park is best suited for intermediate and experienced riders.

If you want to stay for a few days, I recommend camping at Lake Leatherwood City Park Camping.

The Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca, Arkansas was originally a small rafting facility on the Buffalo River, but has now been converted into a wilderness resort. In addition to the river, hiking trails and even a zipline, there are also 11 kilometers of spectacular singletrack suitable for riders of all levels.

The Buffalo River Trails are free and open to the public, there is even a bus that takes you and your bike back after you get off.

The New Mountain Bike Track In Kosciuszko National Park

The outdoor center has cabins, cabins and RV parks if you want to explore the area for a few days.

Mount Nebo State Park is part of Monument Trails of Arkansas, an initiative of Arkansas State Parks to bring professionally built and maintained mountain bike trails to the state. Mount Nebo has 25 miles of purpose-built singletrack that winds through beautiful scenery that includes spectacular views, waterfalls, pine forests, winding rock gardens and more.

All trails are accessible on foot (some are downhill only), but if you prefer a lift, there is a Mount Nebo bus. Check the Facebook page to find out when the shuttle is operating.

China Peak is a weekend-only bike park on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevadas, 4 hours east of San Francisco. Although not huge, it has a wide range of trails for all abilities, from male 2-track to more advanced DH lines.

I have a love/hate relationship with Mammoth Bike Park. I love it because it’s my home park and I use it at least 3-4 days a week when I’m home in the summer, but when it comes to an amazing bike park, it’s rare… Mammoth could definitely use it. . Of course, some professionally shaped berms are built and features, but what it lacks in bike park flow, it makes up for with great terrain and epic views.

With more than 50 miles of trails and some of the best views of any bike park, Mammoth is well worth a visit. Remember that we like to talk happily, like going to “hunt for kittens”. Floating land is empty!

The Snow Summit in Big Bear is just outside of Los Angeles, and it’s pretty cool. Built in part by Whistler’s Gravity Logic, the trails at Snow Summit are marked. With features like wooden ramps, dirt jumps, sunken rock gardens and stream berms, Snow Summit is a great place to hone your skills.

Due to its proximity to Los Angeles, it gets very crowded on the weekends, so try to go during the week if you can.

On Miles Of Gravel Roads, A New Genre Of Cycling Booms In The Midwest

Snow Valley Resort has recently upped the mountain bike game with machine-built trails from beginners to pros. It’s a small bike park with only 7 miles of trails, but there’s something for everyone, including a pro jump line and a beginner flow trail, along with half a dozen other trails.

Mount Shasta Bike Park has many interesting river trails, beautiful single tracks through old growth forest, great views of Mount Shasta, and various man-made features such as mesas, waterfalls, and wall walks.

If you have a few days to explore, there are additional miles of backcountry trails where you can enjoy spectacular views of Castle Crags, Lassen, and Mount Shasta.

Bring your big girl/big boy pants to Northstar because this small but mighty bike park has several legal trails. Located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe near Truckee, Northstar is filled with miles of singletrack with something for everyone.
