Best Hotels In Gdansk Poland

Best Hotels In Gdansk Poland – If you are deciding where to stay in Gdansk, you have many options. Gdansk is filled with several highly rated mid-range hotels, making this city ideal for budget or mid-range travelers. It’s easy to find a great place to stay in Gdańsk without breaking the bank…the trick is to narrow down the long list of options.

When it comes to choosing where to stay in Gdansk, you’ll find that many of the best places are in the Old Town. Dlugi Targ, also known as Long Market or Royal Mile, is the main street in the old town. Most of your Gdańsk sights, events, and dining options are within walking distance of this street.

You’ll save some money by staying outside the old city, but you’ll spend time and money commuting back and forth. Gdansk is cheaper than most European cities and is one of the few places where you can live in the city center without having to pay.

All hotels and apartments listed in this article are in the old town of Gdansk. You can find their exact location in the map at the end of the article.

If you’re looking for a high-end, ultra-luxury hotel, you won’t find it in Gdansk. However, there are several five-star hotels to choose from that are cheaper than mid-range hotels in cities like Paris or London.

Old Town Podewils Gdansk. Podewils is a baroque mansion built in the 18th century. It is a small hotel that offers nine rooms furnished with antique furniture and decoration. The hotel is located on Granary Island. From there it is a 10-15 minute walk to Dlugi Targ and St. Mary’s Basilica. From the hotel you can view the historic cranes across the Motlawa River. All rooms are air-conditioned. Stay here if you want a 5 star experience in a small historic hotel.

Hotel Radisson Blu. This 5-star hotel has a great location on Dlugi Targ, near the Green Gate. Our mothers Kathy and Valerie stayed here on our trip to Gdansk. Radisson Blu is also housed in a historic Gothic tenement building. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with heated floors in the bathroom (great for winter) and air conditioning (a nice bonus in summer). Stay here if you want a 5 star experience in the center of Gdansk.

Where To Stay In Gdansk: A Neighbourhood Guide

Pro travel tip: if you’re traveling to Gdansk during the summer, it’s worth checking if your hotel has air conditioning. Summer temperatures are mild, but there’s always a chance you’ll visit during a heat wave. In that case, the air conditioning must be good!

Clean old town Gdansk. This boutique hotel offers ultra-modern decor and amenities. You can control the TV, lights and heating in your room from your iPad. Enjoy a drink in the hotel bar on the 8th floor with a view of Gdansk. If you are traveling with children, you can rent Xbox and Playstation consoles. They even offer free bike rental. Stay here if you are looking for a modern and stylish hotel in the old town of Gdansk.

Hotel Craft Beer Central. Do you want to know the name? It is a new hotel that combines a luxury hotel and a brewery. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. There is a PG4 brewery on site where you can have a drink or a meal. The hotel is right next to the train station, which is great if you’re traveling around Poland by train, but it’s a 10-15 minute walk to most sights in the old town.

Stay at the hotel. This 3-star hotel has a great location in the heart of the old town. It is opposite St. Mary’s Basilica. This is one of the few hotels on this list that can accommodate more than two people in one room. This property offers a studio for up to six people. The only downside of staying here is sleeping at night near the bells of the Cathedral of St. Mary. The room is soundproof but you can still hear the bell. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to stay in a hotel that is not adjacent to St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Best Hotels In Gdansk. Hotel Deals From £22/night

Professional travel tip: Bells of St. Mary’s Cathedral rings every hour, day and night. We live in an apartment near the church and can confirm that the bells ring regularly at night. Usually the bell rings only a few times. Other times, the ringtone will sound for 30 seconds or more. If you’re a light sleeper, look for properties a few blocks from St. Mary’s Basilica.

Five hours at the hotel. The hostel offers beds in shared rooms and private double, triple and quadruple rooms. Bathrooms are shared and this hotel does not have air conditioning. However, this hotel gets great reviews and is a great option if you’re on a budget.

If you are traveling in a group of three or more, staying in an apartment may be the best option for you. Finding a hotel in Gdańsk with rooms for four or more people can be difficult.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was excellent. Not only do we have two bedrooms, but also a spacious living room with a kitchenette and a washing machine. So if you are traveling in a group or planning a longer stay in Gdańsk, consider choosing one of these apartments.

Hotels In Gdansk

A luxurious natural apartment for a family. We live here. We have a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with a kitchenette, living room and washing machine. The Neptune Fountain on Dlugi Targ is a five-minute walk from the apartment. This place really worked for us… great location, plenty of room for our family of 4 and great wifi. Our only complaint, and it’s a minor one, is that we could hear the bells at St Mary’s Cathedral every hour. There was no air conditioning in the apartment, so one or two nights we tried to sleep with the windows open and the doorbell woke us up.

Apartments Chleb and Wino. This property receives an exceptional rating. The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished. Although listed as a suite, the room feels more like a hotel room than a suite. Their living room is small, but they don’t have a kitchen. I think Chleb i Wino is best for couples because the rooms are small and the bathroom has glass walls (with curtains for privacy). If you want to stay somewhere central and has near perfect reviews from previous guests, this is a great place.

Waterlane by Vivendi Properties. If you are traveling as a family, check this place out! The room has several bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people. All apartments have a kitchenette. Others have patios and even pool tables. There is an indoor pool and spa on site. It is located a little further from the city center, but still within walking distance of Dlugi Targ.

How do you decide where to live? I narrowed down the list based on travel style and budget.

The 10 Best Hotels In Old Town, Gdańsk, Poland

If you are traveling to and from Gdańsk by train, Craft Beer Central is worth considering as it is located next to the train station.

For families, we recommend Family Luxury Nature Apartment, Waterlane by Vivendi Properties or PURO Gdansk (what kid doesn’t like a little video game on the go?).

If we were to do it again, our family of 4 would again stay at the Family Luxury Nature Apartments (loved the location, the extra space and the washing machine) or the PURO Gdansk (love the ultra-modern design and hi-tech touches as you enter the room). Apartamenty Chleb i Wino sounds great if it’s just me and Tim there.
