We have 200 places for caravans. Grass pitch, double width cement board or cracker dust bottom. These sites are suitable for caravans, caravan trailers, motorhomes and tents. We have larger spaces suitable for buses and 5 wheelers, if you require a space for the bus it is important to note this when booking. We also reserve a pristine caravan site. Located on Wattle Drive, you’ll find this park along one of Broome’s main roads, about 5km from the city centre.

If you don’t mind visiting Broome’s attractions, this could be the caravan park for you.

As we had a tent on the roof and had no interest in taking it up or down every night, Broome Caravan Park was too far for us.

Open all year round, this caravan park has the largest swimming pool of all, which can be decisive if you have children. – and a small supply store.

Things To Do In Broome, Western Australia

From available pitches to chalets, Broome Caravan Park also offers weekly rates for cheaper stays.

Again, we would avoid staying here because of its location, which although in the city center, is not walking distance to Broome’s main attractions.

There is a small store, a camp kitchen, swimming pool and of course a laundry room. However, without any standout features, we weren’t too enamored with this caravan park.

Unfortunately when we visited there didn’t seem to be any grass anywhere either and we had already seen too much dirt!

However, if you are looking for the best of both worlds in Broome, i.e. the city and the beach, Broome Vacation Village may be for you.

Closer to the famous Cable Beach, Broome Caravan Park is only a 5-10 minute drive to one of the best sunset views in Western Australia.

A little more expensive, maybe because of the location, we thought it was an option and worth the few extra bucks!

#1 A good camera – You shoot almost non-stop in Australia and you need a good camera to do this beautiful country justice. I highly recommend the Sony A6000 which I use for all my travels and love, mainly because it’s light, compact and durable.

#2 Good walking shoes – There will be a lot of walking in Australia, from cities to national parks. Make sure your feet are comfortable, so a pair of New Balance sneakers. Perfect for going out in style, I love mine.

#3 Great Guide – I’m still a big fan of Lonely Planet guides and think their Australian edition is well done.

#4 A good water bottle – Traveling in the heat of old Australia can make you thirsty, so make sure you have a refillable metal water bottle handy, as tap water is drinkable… and it’s free!

#5 A great sun hat, and we deny that you also need a good sun hat in Australia. In my opinion, you can’t beat this Hello Sunshine, which is gorgeous and perfect for keeping your face glowing.

When we arrived, the Broome RV Park was almost empty though half full and had a bit of an odd vibe.

The park was clean, but seemed almost barren, and despite its location on Cable Beach, I didn’t get the laid-back beach vibe we were looking for.

With the most serene caravan park in Broome, Tarangau can be a caravan park if you want to get away from it all.

On the shores of Town Beach, this Broome caravan park is the only one in town with a beachfront location.

It is also the closest to Chinatown and the famous Matsos Brewery and many other pubs and restaurants.

Having said that, this caravan park felt a bit unsafe to us and was full of long term guests which made the place look a bit scruffy.

If you want to feel like you’re in the middle of the action, Roebuck Bay Caravan Park could be for you.

We definitely chose Cable Beach Caravan Park as the best for our needs and thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay there.
